ITEM DESCRIPTION: My piece is is inspired by Marilyn Monroe Cazares. She was a Latinx trans women who lost her live at 22 in Brawley, CA. Marilyn was said to be the life of the party, rocked fabulous outfits and expressed herself through clothes and wigs. She was a huge fan of Marilyn, Nicki and Cardi B. I knew that this piece would need a flair so I have used pink cotton macrame cord with gold strands throughout. I have used different noting patterns to create a statement piece. The layered piece has movement and would be a great accent for any wall. The wooden rod has been left natural to let the gold accents shine but painted gold at the end. The piece has the measurements of height: 36 inches with the width: 36 inches She was brutally murdered and this crime has still not be solved. The Brawley police ask that anyone with information contact Det. Sgt. Jesse Rotner at (760) 351-7777
