ITEM DESCRIPTION: Picture it: You’re a 10 year old boy in an old dusty cabin in northern Minnesota. The walls are covered in the heads of unlucky fauna staring through your soul. Out of the corner of your eye, and fibrous owl gripping a stick for dear life catches your attention. Their eyes follow your every move.
You go to bed that evening wondering if perhaps the scratching sound you’re hearing as you fall asleep is in fact the macrame owl you met earlier that day trying to break free from its nailed constraints.
Fast forward 20 years and you’re a little wiser than your naive counterpart. But still with a wild sense of imagination.
The owls you see before you are a representation of a specific childhood fear translated through years of turning dread and unnecessary anxiety into something approachable and (with a little hard work) adorable. These owls are the epitome of that idea from the head to tail.
They’re made with 100% natural cotton cord, stained and sealed branches sourced in Brooklyn, NY, handmade glass eyes, and imitation tooth toggle buttons. Each owl is one-of-a-kind and created individually to ensure they each have their own unique personality.
