Item description:

I am honoring Dorothy Height an American civil rights activist. She fought on the issues of African American women, including unemployment, illiteracy and voter awareness. Dorothy devoted her life to those struggling for equality. She led the National Council of Negro Women for 40 years, and served as the only woman at the highest level of the civil rights movement. Witnessing every march and milestone along the way. The centerpiece is a cherry quartz cabochon with the stamping of a quote, “If the time is not ripe, we have to ripen the time”-Dorothy Height. The necklace is strung with raw ocean jasper stones, sterling beads, and green onyx. The Necklace is 16” with a sterling silver closure and 2” adjustable chain. Ocean Jasper is a stone that aids you to communicate more positively and allows loving feelings to be expressed in what you say. Cherry quartz is useful when you want vitality or courage to make progress. Green onyx is the symbol of restful ness and purity. Dorothy Height passed away in 2010, May she Rest In Power.
